The Brief
Mochi Health came to me at a pivotal point in their growth.
Like many fast-growing startups, they had relied on stock imagery to get their brand off the ground. But as the company evolved, they started noticing those same images appearing across competitor websites. The visuals no longer reflected who they were—or where they were headed.
They needed content that felt authentic, approachable, and unmistakably theirs.
But this wasn't just about replacing photos on a website.
They needed a strategic library of photo and video content that could support their website, advertising, social media, email marketing, and future campaigns—assets designed to grow alongside the brand.
After taking the time to understand their goals, audience, and vision, I stepped in as Creative Director, Producer, and Lead Photographer to bring the project to life.
From sourcing talent and locations to building shot lists, coordinating the production, and capturing the final imagery, I managed the entire process from concept through delivery.
For startups like Mochi, that's often where I provide the most value.
I'm not simply hired to take photos. I partner with brands to create intentional content systems—building the strategy, managing the production, and delivering a library of assets that works across every stage of their marketing.
The result was a collection of custom photo and video content that gave Mochi a stronger visual identity and the flexibility to show up consistently across every platform.
The Approach
The creative direction centered around building a modern wellness narrative that felt warm, aspirational, and authentic rather than overly clinical.
We built the two day production around three core pillars:
1. Product moments that highlighted the physical touch-points of the brand
2. Lifestyle scenes that captured real people in natural environments
3. Lifestyle Portraits that made the patients relatable, and providers feel warm and approachable
Beyond shooting, I stepped into the role of creative director and producer — handling everything from talent sourcing and scheduling to shot planning, location coordination, styling direction, and on-set execution.
Every part of the production was intentionally crafted to feel cohesive, while still leaving room for natural moments to unfold.
This wasn't a corporate healthcare shoot. It was a full commercial production with a lifestyle soul.
Instead of stiff, clinical imagery, the focus was on:
Clean, natural light
Thoughtful styling
Genuine interactions
Movement and everyday moments
The shoot spanned two locations, with each scene styled to feel elevated but lived-in.
A huge amount of planning went into making everything feel effortless:
Talent coordination → Wardrobe conversations → Shot mapping → Prop styling → Scheduling → Location prep
Every detail was designed so the final imagery felt polished and campaign-ready, while still feeling natural.
The Outcome
The final image library became a core part of Mochi Health's visual identity across multiple channels.
Where it's been used:
Updated website
Social media campaigns
Paid advertising
Email marketing
LinkedIn content
Large-scale printed materials for conferences and branded event activations
The imagery also anchored Mochi Health's entire 2025 holiday campaign, from concept through execution.
Mochi walked away with 80+ images now powering their website, social channels, investor materials, and paid campaigns.
The new imagery completely replaced Mochi Health's reliance on stock photography, creating a far more cohesive and elevated visual language across every brand touchpoint.
The work also performed well enough that it extended beyond the original scope. The imagery was blown up across a full pop-up installation at a conference event, becoming part of Mochi Health's larger visual identity.
Mochi Health came back to expand the partnership, a strong signal that the content wasn't just visually aligned with their brand, but actually worked across the channels it was built for.
